Scott Siegler is a partner at ZelnickMedia, specializing in the areas of television, film and new media.

Mr. Siegler was most recently president of Scott Siegler Enterprises, Inc., a new media consulting company focused on content and technology start-up opportunities. Prior to that, Mr. Siegler was president & COO of Vidyah (formerly KnowledgeBroadcasting), an Internet content and technology company

which was designed to create information-based, vertical channels for the broadband B2B environment. The start-up company, one of the Larry Ellison – Mike Milken Knowledge Universe companies, developed legal, medical and corporate training channels along the subscription model.

From 1997 to 2000 Mr. Siegler founded and ran the television production entity Granada Entertainment USA. Mr. Siegler served as the company’s first president and grew the business to $75MM in revenue in 30 months. During Mr. Siegler’s tenure, episodic series were placed on four networks; 7 pilots were produced for six networks; and six TV movies were produced. Mr. Siegler also started GB Entertainment, a joint venture between the BBC and Granada Entertainment USA.

Mr. Siegler was president of American Cybercast in 1996-1997, the first company to produce episodic entertainment for the Internet. Investors included Softbank, Intel, and Allen & Co. The company’s initial effort, “The Spot,” was a landmark on the Internet and received numerous accolades.

From 1987 to 1994 Mr. Siegler was president of Columbia Pictures Television and oversaw the combined television operations of the studio, which was the #2 program supplier and which was #1 in annual profits five of his seven years. During that time, he formed a relationship with Silicon Graphic’s Jim Clark, which in turn led to his involvement in the creation and launch of the Netscape Corporation.

In 1986, Mr. Siegler was hired to start a television division for TriStar Pictures. He ran that operation until it merged with Columbia Pictures.

Early in his television career, Mr. Siegler was senior vice president at Warner Brothers Television, VP, Comedy and VP, Drama at CBS and manager of current drama at NBC. He has also received an Emmy award as a producer/writer/director for a film documentary.

Mr. Siegler holds an M.F.A. in theatre arts from Brandeis University, an M.A. in English literature from the University of Toronto, and a B.A. (Phi Beta Kappa) in philosophy from Union College. He also attended the American Film Institute under a director's fellowship.
