Lillian Vernon Sold to Sun Capital

Boca Raton, Fla.-based private equity firm Sun Capital Partners Inc. has acquired catalog retailer Lillian Vernon Corp. from White Plains, N.Y.-based holding company Direct Holdings Worldwide Inc. Financial transaction terms between Sun Capital and Lillian Vernon, a 55-year-old White Plains, N.Y.-based seller of household products, were not disclosed. Direct Holdings was formed in 2003 by New York private equity firm Ripplewood Holdings LLC and New York media investment group Zelnick Media Corp.
